Image Tips

The quality of the image you send us makes the difference between a great and only so-so gift label. So please review and follow our image tips below.

We will not create your product if it does not meet minimum qualifications, you would be dissapointed with the blurry results. We will email you to let you know if this is the case. You will have the option of emailling us an upgraded version of the image you sent originally, choosing another image of higher quality or requesting an order refund.

Magazine images are much larger than those on a bottle, so they require higher quality. Though the size/resolution on your image may not be exactly the same as this chart, use it to get an idea if your image is good enough to make a great gift label.

8" x 10”	minimum 72 DPI	150 DPI
4" x 5”	minimum 150 DPI	300 DPI
2" x 2.5”	minimum 300 DPI	500 DPI

BOTTLE image is:	Must be at least:	For best results:

3" x 3”	minimum 72 DPI	150 DPI

Acceptable Formats: .jpg (JPG) or .bmp

If You Are Scanning Your Image:

scan at 100% of the image size

save at the recommended dpi for “Best Results”

do not over-crop the image (see below)

do not compress the image

save as a .jpg

If You Are Using a Digital Image:

take the shot at highest setting

save at max quality

do not over-crop the image (see below)

save at 8x10 size at 300 dpi

save as a .jpg

How to Convert a Picture to Digital Image:

to scan them yourself, see “If You are Scanning Your Image”

go to a photo processor (Kinko’s, Walmart, etc.) and ask them to convert your photo to a digital image. Be sure they scan at 100% and save as 8x10 .jpg at 300 dpi.

How to Attach Your Image:

identify the picture you will use on your local computer

re-save as a .jpg (JPG) if it is another format

use the “Browse” button on Personalization page

find and select your .jpg image from your computer

your image and personalization info emails to Last Laugh Gifts

Cropping Around Your Image:

isolate your “target area” into an 8x10 configuration

leave plenty of room around the image

all magazine covers are vertical orientation (taller than wide)

if in doubt, don't crop the image

Choosing a Photo:

select a sharp, colorful, in focus image

make sure your “subject” is facing the front and visible

make sure the “subject” is not too close to another person

identify the “subject” if your photo has 2 or more people
